Elie Wiesel was a holocaust survivor who was born in Romania in 1928 and died in
2016. He was also a writer, professor, political activist and Nobel Laureate. He wrote in French and English including a famous book called night. This was about his experience in in the concentration camps with his father. He was inspired by his personal experience which he put towards his career. He was a humanities professor
at Boston College which led him to make a center for Jewish studies. He helped the states holocaust memorial museum and even helped campaigns
for oppressed places. He even won the Nobel peace prize in 1986 because of his
dedication to helping those in need. He was a founding board member of the New York Human Rights Foundation and remained active throughout his life
He is an inspiration to many because of he was a survivor of a tragic and very hard event, which he used to become a stronger person. He used it to make something of himself and help all he can by being a part of different organizations to help those who are oppressed around the world. He is associated with peace because of all the contributions he made to give the help to people who need it, so they don’t have to experience what he had to. I like how he made something of his life and used the fact he overcame a big thing like the holocaust to be a stronger more influential person.
